Martin Luther Memorial Home, Inc. (MLMH) is an organization associated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) and was originally founded in 1958 as a home for seniors. Its mission was to support the physical and spiritual care for seniors in various types of senior care facilities. The organization grew to include six senior care facilities located throughout lower Michigan.
To better serve its mission, the decision was made to sell its physical care facilities and provide spiritual care for the aging through programs consistent with the tenets of faith of the WELS. In 2014, MLMH completed the sales of its senior care facilities and formed Martin Luther Memorial Home Foundation with the proceeds. The creation of this new entity will enable MLMH to use its resources to maintain the rich and important heritage of its original mission in supporting the spiritual care of seniors in the future.
Currently, the Foundation conducts three major senior care programs.
